Northbrook Financial Planner Receives Charter Wealth Manager Designation
Patrick L. Doland, president of Northbrook based Reason Financial Advisors, Inc., has been awarded the Chartered Wealth Manager (CWM) designation from the Board of Standards of the American Academy of Financial Management.
“Wealth management”, stated Doland, “uses a holistic, consultative approach to assist affluent clients with asset protection, debt management, income and disability protection, portfolio management and estate planning.”
According to the 2004 Affluent Market Research Program conducted by TNS, a market research company that has conducted an annual study since 1981, the number of U.S. households with a net worth in excess of one million dollars, excluding their primary residence, increased from 6.3 million in 2003 to 8.2 million in 2004, a 33% increase. “But the benefits are no longer limited to this select group according to Doland. “As more financial advisors develop the skills to service the affluent market, their remaining client base can utilize some of the same planning strategies.”
Doland, who resides in Northbrook with his wife, Kathy, received a B.A. from Upper Iowa University and an MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER ™ practitioner and a NAPFA Registered Financial Advisor.
